Low Back and Hip Pain

1780.jpg

Most back pain occurs in the lumbosacral region, or the low back. Overuse, muscle strain or injury is often the cause of low back pain. Back pain is referred to as either acute or chronic, and both conditions require treatment.

The hip is a very active part of the body, capable of incredible range of movement while maintaining a stable joint. A common injury to the hip is what is known as a groin pull. This is an overextension or tearing of the muscles around the hips. Hip dislocation is a very serious and rare disorder almost exclusively caused by massive force like a car accident. A physician should examine an injury to the hip immediately.

Low back and hip pain are frequently related to misalignments in those areas, but also can be attributed to problems in the foot.
