Growing up as a boy in Wichita, Ks., Michael McIrvin received his first chiropractic adjustment for a serious and very troubling health condition at the ripe old age of seven years old. Along with an active and healthy lifestyle, these treatments aided Michael in resolving his health problems. His parents and family were great advocates of chiropractic care, receiving adjustments and various treatments themselves on a regular basis. The chiropractic lessons of good posture, good spinal health, good food and exercise paid off as he worked summers on his grandfather's dairy farm, built and raced soapbox derby cars, participating in scouting, gardening, and even playing a bit of little league football in the fall. After receiving a Bachelor of Science degree in agriculture(horticulture) at Kansas State University and lettering two years on the university rowing team, Dr. Michael took time out to start a family and prepare to enter chiropractic college in 1986. He graduated with honors (cum laude) from Cleveland Chiropractic College, Kansas City Missouri in 1990, board certified in chiropractic, and was awarded the Vanguard Scholarship for clinical and academic excellence. Dr. McIrvin promptly started his McPherson, Ks. practice in June of that year. Dr. McIrvin enjoys spending time with his two grown daughters and son-in-laws, family and friends. His hobbies include fishing, canoeing, bicycling and participating in rowing regattas as a referee.
