Integrative Knee Therapy

If you have been suffering with pain in your extremities; whether it be knee pain or elbow pain, hip pain or shoulder pain, ankle pain or wrist pain, here at Minnesota Chiropractic and Rehabilitation, we can help!!!

The Integrative Knee Therapy Program at Minnesota Chiropractic and Rehabilitation utilizes a combination of therapeutic modalities to facilitate the healing of injured and/or degenerative extremity joints and prevents further progression of your condition.  Each program has consistently demonstrated positive results for our patients by reducing their pain and returning them to a more active lifestyle.

As an example: The Integrative Knee Therapy Program utilizes a combination of the following treatment modalities:

ELECTROANALGESIA

Electro

Electroanalgesia, utilizing the Neuromed Matrix System, is a non-invasive, non-narcotic form of electrotherapy treatment which provides long term pain relief by releasing endorphins in the central nervous system.  It differs from a T.E.N.S by operating at considerably higher frequencies.  T.E.N.S operates at 0-250 pulses per second while the Neuromed Matrix operates at up to 10,000 pulses per second providing significantly greater pain relief. Most patient experience only a mild sensation.

KNEE ON TRAC

Knee on Track

The Knee On Trac is an innovative, non-invasive treatment which provides decompression therapy for the knee.  By isolating the knee, it provides safe and effective traction of the knee joint directly addressing the source of the knee pain.  It helps to treat most causes of knee pain, including sprained ligaments, strained muscles, tendonitis, cartilage tears, and osteoarthritis by reducing inflammation and re-hydrating the knee joint which improves range of motion and overall knee function

COLD LASER THERAPY

Cold Laser

Cold Laser Therapy, also known as Low Level Laser Therapy (LLLT), utilizes specific wavelengths of light to accelerate the healing. It facilitates the healing of damaged or injured tissues by reducing pain, inflammation and swelling and decreasing compensatory muscle spasm resulting in an overall reduction in healing time.

CRYOTHERAPY

Cryotherapy

Cryotherapy consists of applying cold compresses to the skin, to reduce its temperature and constrict blood vessels in the area. It is utilized to help reduce pain, swelling and inflammation and further facilitate healing of injured tissues.

Additionally, each of our patients is provided with a customized home exercise program to improve strength and stability and prevent future injuries.
