Whiplash may result from several causes including automobile accident, sports injury or work related injury. The muscles, joints, and tendons and ligaments can be injured as a result of whiplash. Pain may occur immediately or may take weeks to develop. Pain may begin in the neck but radiates to the shoulders, arms, and upper back as well. In addition to neck pain, headache, blurred vision, ringing in the ears, and other symptoms may accompany a whiplash injury. Chiropractic treatment can be very effective in the treatment of a whiplash injury.
